Equipment free strength, built on control rather than speed.

Mat Pilates is a 60 minute class focused on deep core strength, mobility and body awareness. No machines, no reformer. Just a mat, a few small props, and a lot of attention to how you are moving. The work is slower than most people expect and harder than it looks. Each exercise asks for control through the whole range of movement rather than momentum. That is where the strength comes from, and it is why Pilates tends to reach the muscles that other training misses. It is a good counterweight to sitting at a desk, to running, to lifting a toddler, and to any practice where the same patterns repeat all week.
We begin with breath and a warm up that wakes up the core, spine and hips. The main section moves through core work, glute and leg strength, and upper back and shoulder stability, usually in sequences that build on each other rather than jumping between unrelated exercises. Props come in to add resistance or support: a Pilates ball, a band, ankle weights, a block. Everything has a version you can scale up or down, so beginners and regular practitioners can work side by side in the same class. We finish with stretching and mobility, and a short reset before you go back into your day.
Anyone. This is a general class, open to all levels, with no prior Pilates experience needed. It is a good starting point if you want to build a personal practice, and a good ongoing class if you already have one. If you are pregnant or in the first months after birth, our prenatal and postnatal classes will serve you better. If you are working through an injury, mention it before class starts.
Core strength that shows up in everyday life rather than only in the studio. Better posture. More mobility through the spine and hips. Fewer of the small aches that come from repeating the same positions all week. Most people notice the difference first in how they stand and how their back feels, and only later in what they can do on the mat.
Sixty minutes. Mats, blocks, Pilates balls, bands, ankle weights and cushions provided. Wear something you can move in. Socks or bare feet, both fine. Classes run in [English]. Groups stay small, [max 12 people].

Parent and baby classes, sensory workshops, and children's workshops with Friendship in the Feld, held on recurring slots. There's also children's yoga with Ligia, using songs, storytelling, breathing exercises and relaxation to build confidence, body awareness and emotional wellbeing. These sit alongside the adult program, so a parent can build a Pilates practice and bring their child to a class in the same space.
A drop-in class is for 22 euros. Class packs are available: a 5 class pack is for 100 euros and a 10 class pack is for 180 euros. Prices include German VAT.

Soulstone combines pre- and postnatal movement, baby classes, Pilates, and yoga in onedesign-led space, rather than splitting mothers, babies, and general fitness across separate studios. It is built as a community space, not only a class schedule, with a calm, considered interior rather than a clinical or gym-like feel.
Soulstone sits in Weißensee, directly bordering Prenzlauer Berg, making it an easy option for families in both neighborhoods looking for prenatal, postnatal, or family movement classes.
